PDI International provides specialised training to nurses and medical practitioners in subjects such as cervical screening, immunisations, respiratory care and other subjects and in 2009 won the UK National Training Award. It has been very successful in securing contracts from both Primary Care Trusts and also individual GP practices in the South West and its owner Mary White was seeking mentoring support as she sought to expand her business in the UK both geographically and by means of on-line training and also possibly overseas. Bob Dow mentored Mary over a period of 12 months and during that time helped her tackle a number of issues affecting the performance of her business and provided a ‘critical friend’ role in challenging her expansion plans and helping her focus on the key issues to drive her plans forward. Mary has now secured contracts from other parts of the UK, her on-line training revenue is increasing and her profit for the last year increased.
